respond to key supplier crisis situations
- Reduces the risk of supplier non-performance through
proactive, up-front evaluation of suppliers who provide key components
or who are being considered for significant new business.
- Provides longer-term resources required for turnaround
management of suppliers; including capital sourcing and restructuring,
operations improvements, and supply resourcing (i.e. tool moves)
to ensure continuity of supply.
- Provides fairness evaluations on supplier pricing adjustment
and payment acceleration requests
- Evaluates and assists in new supplier
initiatives, including
diversity and improvement programs.
